Five Ways to to help you fall asleep.

If you have been wondering why you can't fall asleep lately, you might want to check your sleeping pattern and what you are doing during the course of a day. Do you fall asleep in the afternoon? Do you find yourself drinking caffeine? Are you stressed?

After examining your lifestyle, decide that you are going to make some changes.  Whether it be slight changes or all  of these changes that I am going to suggest below.

1. Caffeine

Yes, most of us love drinking coffee. Yes some love drinking tea. Whatever reason, via the extra energize it gives or as a stress reliever, caffeine can interrupt your ability to fall asleep quickly. Especially, if you are drinking more than one cup a day, then you will have some sleep issues.

2. Exercise

Get the circulation moving during the daytime.  Exercise is a stress reliever and revives your mood.  Can anyone say endorphine? It will certainly relax you.  Please don't exercise within 2-3 hours before bedtime. This will only keep you awake.

3. Bath

Create a peaceful getaway in your own bathroom.  Change the lighting or use battery operated candles for a spa like experience.  Drizzle essential oils, bath bombs, petals, epsom salt for muscle aches in your bath. This is your time to relax on your bath pillow and just chill.

4. Regulate your Time for bed

This is self explanatory.  Set a time for you to go to bed regularly.  You can use your smartphone in this arena.  Use your smartphones to set up "Bedtime" on an Iphone (not sure of Android but search for something similar) This will help insure that you get the amount of sleep that is necessary to be fully refreshed to take on the world.

5.  Buy a new mattress and pillows

Maybe it's your mattress that is not comfortable anymore and you need to buy a replacement that is more suitable for you.  Also, you might want to check your pillows for comfort as well.  Just examine everything in your bedroom from the mattress the pillows to the color of your bedroom.

Bonus tip:  Use a sleep mask to not only prevent puffiness, but for total blackness.  Let me know if my tips helped in anyway or what you tweaked to make it more effective for you.
